SIDI ABDALLAH - ISSIKTANE
Sidi Abdallah is the son of legendary Abdallah Oumbadougou from Agadez, Niger. Sidi grew up surrounded by music and culture. His late father is one of the originators of the guitar-driven Tuareg desert blues. Steeped in this music, Sidi emerges today as one of the young Tuareg artists from northern Niger. With classic Tuareg instrumentation - electric guitars, percussion and vocal - Sidi brings fresh energy that echoes his father’s influence as well as the influence of other young artists from Niger such as Rhissa ag Wanagli, Bombino, Mdou Moctar and other musicians active in Agadez today.
Sidi calls his group Takrist N’akal. The band members are Dawoul Ahamouk and Djamilou Rabey. They all live in Agadez, Niger.
